Da Pokah

I had two sessions yesterday. The first, I was up five buyins before getting majorly sucked out on and coolered. I'm really proud of my game though and would not play any differently. I'm up 4 1/2 buyins over 1,222 hands (I'd post PT stats but stupid Photoshop expired and now I have to find a serial number). Stats are 22/19/4 (I think I need to tighten up just a smidge).

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1070605 I was really proud of my read on this hand, it was spot on. This was actually the first hand that villain had played at the table. However, I got a distinct feeling that he/she was bluffing. I checked the turn to give villain an opportunity to bluff as the Q was a great card to bluff with. Too bad the river screwed me in the ass, but all in all I loved the way I played this hand. Now that I think about it, crazy of me to go all in like that on villian's first hand, but I really trusted my read at the time.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1070611 I wanted to raise the turn by being oop and with another almost full stack behind, I felt like I couldn't. This hand also just convinces me villains bluff the river entirely too much.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1070620 Don't love villain's raise on the turn, so often that just screams set to me. Showed me AK high though...

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1070621 When they both called my all in, I was afraid my kicker would be in lots of trouble. It would have been pretty sick if the flush had hit.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1070625 Sometimes I 4 bet with AA and sometimes I don't...heads up that is. I like my small 4 bet here it enabled him to call. Honestly, I put him on AK or AQ solidly. Didn't think someone would call a 4 bet with AJs.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1070631 Couldn't go all the way with this hand. The all in shove on turn just screamed flush and this is the same villain from above.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1070638 One of my first hands at the table. Although I folded, it told me two things... 1) Villains are complete donks for calling 3 bets oop. 2) The way that guy just checked/shoved also screams complete donk.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1070642 Exhibit A.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1070644 Exhibit B. My read that this guy was a complete and total donk let me go pretty much all the way with this hand. The turn and the river helped no doubt. I would have slowed down if a high card came along.

Ok enough HH for the day, I have a ton of errands to do in order to complete my bar app. I'm still recovering from my 10-11 buyin downswing and am about 3 1/2 buyins down still. With my confidence back, I'm able to play much better poker so I just have to keep my mind right.

Way to go! Seems like your game is solid and those suckouts are mainly bad luck i would say. Dont let it get to you.
BTW have you tried the hand converter at www.KJpoker.com?
